AWARDS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The School awards Badges of Academic Excellence to students who achieve a high level of academic performance . The school primarily being an institution for providing academic learning , these awards motivate more and more students to set personal goals of academic excellence. The award for Academic Excellence encourages the students to set their own personal goals for improvement in academics in a healthy and progressive environment . The criteria for awarding the badges is as follows : - An Excellence Badge is awarded to all students of Classes VI to X who achieve a CGPA of 9 and above and to students of Class XII who achieve 80% and above aggregate in their final result. The badge with one star is worn by the student throughout the academic year. If the student maintains the laid down percentage in the subsequent years another star is added to the badge.
- If a student is awarded the Excellence Badge for three consecutive years, he/she is also awarded an Excellence Tie along with the Badge .
- After being awarded a Excellence Tie , if the student gets a Excellence Badge again for three consecutive years , he/she is awarded a Excellence Blazer with a Tie and Badge.
- Finally in Class XII if a student has been awarded a Excellence Blazer and a Excellence Tie and then gets a Excellence Badge for three subsequent years, the student is awarded an Excellence Trophy and Badge to reward their excellent academic performance in their entire School career.
Academic Excellence Badges were awarded to a total of 600 students. Class IV was awarded 100 and rest were awarded to classes VI to X and class XII for the Academic year 2011 –12. 103 students were awarded Academic Excellence Ties . 3 students of Class XII and 16 students of Class XI were awarded Academic Excellence Blazers and a tie each. 13 students of Class XII were awarded Academic Excellence Trophies.
