The budding talent of the students of Army Public School is nurtured through a plethora of cultural activities integrated in the school curriculum. To inculcate a love for reading, creativity and capacity for analytical thinking, the students are exposed to various Co-curricular activities ranging from debates to declamations, dramatics to arts, dance, music, craft, and clay modeling amongst others. Educational programmes inclusive of movies, seminars, workshops etc. are organised for the students on a regular basis. Students participate in various competitions such as India's Child Genius by Synergy Communications, Debates, Dramatics, International events, Tera Quiz, Origami etc…

Our School hosted the inter-command quiz competition, which has been instituted by the Army Welfare Education Society. The quizmaster was none other than Mr. Barry O' Brein, who made learning and quizzing so much fun, not only for the participants, but also for the audience. Army School Shillong emerged as the clear winner and received a cash prize of Rs 5000/- each from Lt Gen Thomas Matthew, PVSM, AVSM, AG.

Lt Gen S S Kumar VSM AVSM Quarter Master General and Mrs Preeti Kumar were the Guest of Honour. The Ballet “From Destiny To Dreams”, a Rhapsodical Extravaganza of various musical instruments and songs by the coir groups were the highlights of the day students excelling in academics were awarded. The Chief Guest announced a special prize of Rs 1 Lakh for the outstanding Girl Student of the school.
Farewell to class XII
| ||A special function which is organized to bid farewell to the Twelfth standard, cements the bond between the students and the Staff and further enriches the feeling of a sense of belonging to the School. The students leave the School on the beats of the ‘ Auld Lang Syne' remembering days spent at the Ridge with nostalgia.|
Class XI students put up an entertaining programme of Music and Dance. Tejas Jaishankar and Tishya Relia were crowned Mr And Miss APS.
OSAPS is an event where the old students of APS, Dhaula Kuan come together to refresh the memories of the school days. It is organized every year on the 2 nd Saturday in February.
