The budding talent of the students of Army Public School is nurtured through a plethora of cultural activities integrated in the school curriculum. To inculcate a love for reading, creativity and capacity for analytical thinking, the students are exposed to various Co-curricular activities ranging from debates to declamations, dramatics to arts, dance, music, craft, and clay modeling amongst others. Educational programmes inclusive of movies, seminars, workshops etc. are organised for the students on a regular basis. Our School hosted the inter-command quiz competition, which has been instituted by the Army Welfare Education Society. The quizmaster was none other than Mr. Barry O' Brein, who made learning and quizzing so much fun, not only for the participants, but also for the audience. Army School Shillong emerged as the clear winner and received a cash prize of Rs 5000/- each from Lt Gen Thomas Matthew, PVSM, AVSM, AG. |

Lt Gen S S Kumar VSM AVSM Quarter Master General and Mrs Preeti Kumar were the Guest of Honour. The Ballet “From Destiny To Dreams”, a Rhapsodical Extravaganza of various musical instruments and songs by the coir groups were the highlights of the day students excelling in academics were awarded. The Chief Guest announced a special prize of Rs 1 Lakh for the outstanding Girl Student of the school. |
