MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

From Principal’s desk

Dear parent

At Army Public School DhaulaKuan our endeavor has been to provide holistic education to our students. Along with timely completion of syllabi we have given time for revision and remedial work too. Most of our children have been working hard which will help them to do well during the coming AISSCE examination.

I on behalf of the school management and our faculty, we wish them ‘success’not only for the coming exam but all the future endeavors, and journey which our children are going to embark upon and to remember thatSuccess is combination of thoughts, words and action.

We have prepared some suggestions for parents and children to reduce examination stress, please go through them and try to follow, be patient with your children and provide them support. Our faculty, our counselor and all other members of staff are there to provide you help.

We will also help our children after class 12th examination to choose the right career paths. Our school “Counseling cell” with the help of our counselor can provide guidance in advising the children.

We  create a data base of our children after +2.Please ask your ward to inform their  class teachers about the field your ward have chosen to join after the results of class XIIthare declared. You can also mail this information on apsdk1953@gmail.com.As an institution it is an important to get this feedback

Last but not the least I can only suggest to take inspiration from the lines of Theodore Roosvelt

“ Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, then to take rank with those poor spirits which neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in grey twilight that knows not victory not defeat “

CIRCULAR

Dear Parent

The School’s second term is completing on14th March2012.  It is time for students to relax and  re energize themselves for the coming session starting on 2nd April2012. Here  are a few suggestions for parents from the Principals desk:

1          Please encourage your children to participate in outdoor activities as the weather at this  time of the year is quite pleasant.

2.         Children must inculcate good reading habits.  Ask them to read at least one good book during this time.  Teachers will be doing book review with them, with the onset of the new session.

3.         Take good care of their nutrition as changing weather also bring many viral diseases with it.  Inculcate the habit of bringing a healthy ‘Tiffin’ from home and teach them to avoid junk food.

4 The  Media is a good means to keep abreast of the happenings around the world.  Monitor the use of T.V and internet as these also pose potential hazards for your child.  Encourage them to read newspapers, this will also help them in improving their language.

5          Spend quality time with your child, as these are formative years where impressions last for life. Please encourage your child to speak about his/her aspirations listen patiently and guide them accordingly.

6   As per the guidelines of CBSE the School is working towards Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation there by reducing the stress on  children. Parents must also work towards it. Unnecessary pressure of results is to be avoided.

7         It is important for children to be regular in school and in their studies.  Projects, CW, HW and Practicals are important part of their learning and assessment. All Project work for classes 6th  to 10th is to be completed in school.

8          We are always open to suggestions for the improvement of the school Please feel free to write to us.

Yours faithfully
